Mixing & Mastering: The Basics

In this course, I’ll teach you the essentials of mixing and mastering using FL Studio (my primary software). While FL Studio will be the focus, I’m also familiar with Logic Pro and can provide insights for users of both platforms. Here’s what you’ll learn (in order of my workflow): • Compressing vocals • Using a gate • When and how to use a limiter • Working with Auto-Tune or pitch correction tools (note: I won’t cover manual pitch correction) • Equalizing vocals • De-essing vocals • Utilizing effects to enhance your sound I’ll also share helpful tips and recommend plugins that I’ve found invaluable in my work. Important Note This course provides insights into my mixing and mastering techniques. While I don’t hold a formal degree, I’ve completed several courses and bring 8 years of hands-on experience to the table.
